12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.

Spam protection on our forms

We use Cloudflare Turnstile on our quote, contact and enquiry forms to check that each submission comes from a person rather than an automated bot. When you open a page with one of our forms, Turnstile collects technical information from your browser and device, such as your IP address and browser details, and Cloudflare uses it to carry out that check. We don’t receive or store this information ourselves. We use Turnstile because we have a legitimate interest in protecting our website and our enquiries from spam and abuse. You can read how Cloudflare handles this data in its privacy policy.

EPC check tool

When you use our Check your EPC tool, the postcode and certificate number you look up are sent to the Government’s energy performance of buildings register (run by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government) so we can show you the certificate. We don’t store your searches. To prevent misuse, we keep a temporary count of lookups linked to a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address, which is deleted automatically within 10 minutes. If you choose to send us an enquiry from the tool, the details you enter, together with the certificate details shown, are handled as described in this policy. We also record anonymous usage information about the tool, such as how many searches are made, in Google Analytics, as described in our Cookie Policy.
